Hello King. Im a game design student at Futuregames Stockholm. I'm looking for an internship for the period January til August 2024.
At my education I’ve been focusing on producer roles and team management since I find working with people the most interesting part of creative work. However, when it comes to future career goals I don’t believe the starting role is as important as as the place you're at and King seems like an very exiting company with wide range of possibilities. With that said I also know that day to day work is not more exciting than you make it, the grind has to be done.
In my previous working experience Iv’e worked with print production and logistics and a take away from that is the importance of good planning and pragmatism. Ideas are only as good as their execution.
Before that I made fine arts and have a bachelors degree, there I learned that co-operation with creatives can differ from other kinds of working environments. When people have attachment to their creations being forced to tow the line can sometimes lead to friction. My way or working around that is to plant ideas that comes from the top in a manner that could be interpreted as their own ideas when they find the breadcrumbs and sprinkled with encouragement. Maybe this sounds manipulative but that’s only if you have malevolent intentions. I don´t, but the end products best result should always be the priority.
One of my talents is being quick with drawing up concepts, and this is very useful getting a team share a vision, words only goes so far. Some easy sketches can sort of a lot of confusion.
When it comes to the actual role of any possible internship I am very open to what could fit your needs. I'm interested in you as a full company and could see different positions where I could be useful.
If any of this sparks an interest feel free to contact me In any way. I live in Stockholm but could be willing to relocate is necessary.
